I've got 99 problems but my first blog post ain't one!

"Jordan, I've got a feeling we're not in Oklahoma anymore."
Last night we watched our beloved Oilers pull out their first win in Rogers Arena since April 2nd, 2011 and last night was also the first win in the Ralph "Freddy" Kruger era. Watching the Yak attack and Mini-Schultz play for the first time sent tingles running from my chest pubes all the way down to my ball-fro, tingles of joy and plenty of #SQUEEE.

So what's next for our boys in blue?
Tuesday night our boys face off in our Season home opener against a San Jose Sharks team who's coming fresh of a 4-1 ass whoopin' against the fLames. With Eager likely out of the lineup due to a bruised face after taking a few pops in his scuffle with Kassian, MPS will get his first crack at showing what he's got after spending 34 games with Todd Nelson and the OKC Barons last season.

Hopefully alongside MPS getting into the lineup we will also see Fistric get his first crack at some game action, likely to be paired up with Whitney. I loved the acquisition of Fister right when I heard about it and the thing that attracts me the most is his 6ft 2in and 233lbs frame. Did I mention he's also only 26?

Speaking of first cracks...

"Love to stick around and chat, but I got a pass to make." - Justin Schultz

From the time that Justin Schultz stepped onto the ice last night to the time that he got off, I felt that he was one of the best players on the ice. He looked so poised and confident out there that I thought I was watching an 8 year vet. Logging 20 minutes and 52 seconds in ice time in 26 shifts, Justin performed well with many offensive opportunities including a couple point blank shots against Luon8o. With time, he will adjust to the increased skill of NHL tendy's and those shots will become goals. Lots and lots and lots of goals.

I was doing some searching around of some of his College highlights and if this play foreshadows what we will be seeing of Schultz in the future, then holy smokes have we got an unreal player.

Nailed it!
