Bonsignore Citizens Brigade: Oilers @ Wild

Back to work
Christmas... check. Over eating... check. Over drinking... check. Back to work... ugh.

The worst part of Christmas has to be going back to work.  After sitting there drinking and eating for a week straight, it was damn near impossible for me to wake up for work yesterday morning.  Even worse is having buddies, including JS, that have the week off rub the whole thing in my face.  Now I'm not saying that my dear blogging partner has said anything about me being forced to "work" while he stays home, but I know he's thinking it.

At least there's hockey to watch.

Road trip
Even though I was actually talking about the World Juniors tournament, I guess the Oilers are playing too.  On one hand, we get the juniors playing for the country, and on the other we have the Oilers playing for a lottery pick... I mean playing to catch up to a playoff spot.  The Oilers are 3-7 in their last 10 games, and are currently sitting in 13th spot in the West - if the season ended today, the Oilers would be a lottery team.

According to Tom Renney, he'd like to see the Oilers come away from this road trip with 8 points.  Considering the Oilers play the Wild, Islanders, Blackhawks, Sabres, Blues and Stars on this trip they had better start it off with a win tonight because the games won't be getting any easier.  Luckily for the Oilers (maybe even more so the fans) they've been able to beat the Wild this season so if they're looking to get back on track, here's the place to start.

It's game day, faggots.

9 Say Your Piece:

  1. I think the Minnesota curse has been lifted, the Oil are "technically" .500 against them this year.

Wild are slipping and it's about time Hall makes some noise. 3-2 Oilers in OT. Hall/Jones/Whitney with the goals while the Nuge somehow finds a way to get 6 assists.

  2. So Whitney's pussy like ankle is keeping him out again eh. Well fuck that prediction.

  4. Whitney being out means our 2nd line D pairing goes from "pylon mode" to "AHL mode". This of course means our D will be improved.

I suggest 5-2 for the Oilers. They HAVE to know this is the best chance they'll have for a W on this whole fucking trip, right? RIGHT?

  5. My one wish tonight is that Telus doesn't blackout the fucking 3G network at Rexall so I can watch the Canada/Denmark game and keep tabs on the Oilers crushing the Wild as well.

  6. Why the shit would Telus blackout the 3G network? Makes no sense at all to me.
