Yeah. We all knew he'd get convicted. The only question is, how many days. He gets at least 30 and up to 6 months.

I wonder what the appeal process is. Originally I had heard that the jailtime could be served outside of the NHL schedule, but anything I've heard lately says otherwise.
ReplyDeleteIf he is going to appeal this, that process better start soon. At this point I guess it doesn't really matter because he's already a write-off for this year, and is only getting younger by the day!

ReplyDeleteNormally a traditional "Sports star/celebrity/really rich person deals with a different justice system than the rest of us" type of scenario would come into play here, but the fact that Phoenix has gone out of their way to show how much they hate hockey doesn't give me much confidence that he'll be let off with a slap on the wrist and be forced to shoot some kind of broken english PSA about drunk driving.
